A long time since the last posting but we have been in Ireland and UK, partly holiday and partly work, looking for the financial support any project needs during its start up phase.
On arrival in Ireland we gave a talk about what we were doing and the concierge for the hall we used said he had never seen so many at a meeting, this was followed the next day by an evening spent talking to a journalist, Anne-Marie Mcnerny of Morning Ireland who concentrated about two hours of talk into six minutes and still managed to give a good story, not as easy as it sounds. The program went well and has generated quite a lot of interest, but no cash, so far.........
Friends and contacts have been generous and we thank them all.
Preliminary reports from the training courses in Karamoja have been very good, the presentations were well received and all parties were happy with the outcome. A good effort for an institution in its first nine months of existence.
We return to Uganda after further meetings, at the end of the month. The main work now will be to try and bring to completion some of the funding efforts which have been started and so establish the University on a good strong foundation for the long term future.
